Foundations of Service
On November 16, 1979, Jack Allen founded Peach State Truck Brokers with a vision of providing dependable, relationship-driven logistics solutions. However, his journey in business began even earlier. Jack Allen’s unwavering work ethic and sound business principles were significantly influenced by the sudden loss of his father and businessman as a young boy and his devotion to family. While attending Gainesville College, now UNG, and managing the rural grocery store of his late father, an unexpected opportunity changed his path.
When a buyer offered to purchase the store, Jack accepted the offer and entered the transportation industry in 1974. Soon after acceptance to attend the University of Georgia, he made the decision to begin his own logistics company. Gaining valuable experience and excelling with two logistics companies, he quickly recognized the need for a brokerage built on exceptional customer service and long-term partnerships—principles that still define Peach State today.
Building a Legacy
Just three years after launching the brokerage, Jack expanded into asset-based trucking, founding Peach State Truck Lines to give customers an added layer of reliability. From day one, Peach State operated in all 48 states and, by the 1980s, expanded into Canada—fueled by the deregulation of freight under President Jimmy Carter. With these changes, the company flourished, offering more flexibility and competitive pricing to customers nationwide.
By 1993, Peach State Truck Brokers had outgrown its original location, leading Jack to build a new headquarters on an over 60-acre property in Gainesville, Georgia—the same place the company proudly calls home today.

Looking to the Future
The foundation of Peach State Truck Brokers has always been about people—both employees and customers. Over the years, key leaders have joined the company, helping drive growth while maintaining the values that set Peach State apart.
- In 2013, Jack’s son, Johnathan Allen, joined the company, continuing the family legacy.
- In 2017, Chan Adams also became a partner, playing a vital role in the company’s continued success.
- In 2024, Luke Humphrey became a partner, strengthening the leadership team.

Today, Peach State Truck Brokers remains one of Georgia’s premier logistics providers—especially in the poultry industry, with a reputation for reliability and industry expertise. Though the company has grown, its foundation remains the same: a commitment to placing employees and customers first, building lasting relationships, and delivering logistics solutions with integrity and care.
